- Applications Development & Technical Techniques (AD)
Covers specific techniques that can be utilized for problem solving, system development, output delivery solutions, or any other area of technical interest. Topics can include the development process of programs, systems, utilities, and/or any productivity tools designed to assist us in our daily jobs, plus an overview of the code and software development techniques used in the process.
- Coder’s Corner (CC)
Brief demonstrations of real-life useful nuggets of programming code, programming tips, efficiency techniques, useful algorithms and macros, and creative uses of software. This is a fast-paced section of 10-minute presentations that are concise and tightly-focused, where sharing and explaining the code is the key.
- Data Standards/CDISC and Regulatory Submission (CD)
Covers industry data standards such as CDISC STDM, ADaM, CDASH; Discusses implementation strategy, submission package preparation, pilot and case studies, regulatory review and submission experiences.
- Data Validation & Management (DM)
Discusses topics relating to data collection, review, monitoring, and validation, including tools or methods on electronic data capture, data collection standards, data review, monitoring and validation processes and technologies.
- Data Visualization and Graphics (DV)
Creation of reports and graphs, discussion of techniques for representing data to communicate effectively, and use of SAS tools such as SAS/GRAPH, ODS, GTL, and ODS Statistical Graphs.
- Hands-On Workshop (HOW) (Invited speaker only)
Interactive training to provide attendees a “hands-on” opportunity to use industry software tools. Practice techniques in a classroom setting, equipped with 10+ computers, under the skillful guidance of seasoned experts. Topics vary widely. Invited Speakers only.
- Management and Career Development (MA)
Provides a broad range of topics and issues facing programmers, consultants, executives and front-line supervisors in today's ever-changing pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Topics include recruiting and retention, programming metrics, temporary workforce challenges, interpersonal interactions, and tips for new managers.
- Posters (PO)
Addresses a variety of SAS programming-related topics in poster board form rather than as a formal lecture. Posters are available throughout the conference and are ideal for displaying high-resolution graphics and innovative presentations. Authors are available during scheduled times to answer questions.
- Statistics & Pharmacokinetics (SP)
Implementation of statistical methods and advanced analytics to report results from all phases of clinical trials, public health studies, and healthcare research.
