Part of PharmaSUG is giving something back to the community in which our conference is being held.
In recent years, PharmaSUG attendees have donated money to support Nvolve to increase the participation of college women in STEM careers, the Smith Center for Healing and the Arts to provide support to people affected by cancer, the Shriners Children’s Hospital of Northern California to treat pediatric patients regardless of ability to pay, and the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank in their fight against hunger in the San Francisco area. We thank you for your generosity!
We are continuing that tradition in 2025. This year, we are supporting Banding Together, a non-profit organization in San Diego that brings unique music opportunities to individuals with special needs such as autism, Down syndrome, Williams syndrome, Rett syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, learning disabilities, traumatic brain injury and other neurologic disorders. People with these diagnoses often cannot easily communicate. Music therapy has been shown to improve communication and social skills, generate confidence, and reduce stress and anxiety in these individuals. Many families are burdened by the costs required to care for individuals with special needs and lack the financial resources for music therapy programs.
Your donation to Banding Together helps to provide scholarships and free programs, like Jam Sessions, to hundreds of special needs individuals who would otherwise be unable to afford music therapy.
IMPORTANT – When making your donation, on the question “Tell us your connection to Banding Together” please be sure to select PharmaSUG 2025 Conference Attendee in the dropdown box so that we can track our donations!
