Presenter Information and Section Descriptions

Submission Basics

Your proposal must include:

  • A paper title (maximum 25 words)
  • An abstract (maximum 250 words)
  • Author details: name, affiliation, email address, and a short biography (maximum 75 words per author)

Submission of a full paper is optional.
At minimum, accepted presenters are required to submit presentation slides or a poster.

Authors may optionally submit a full paper to be included in the conference proceedings.

 

Presentation Formats

PharmaSUG Japan 2026 will offer the following presentation formats:

Oral Presentation

  • 20 minutes total (including Q&A)

Poster Presentation

  • Posters will be printed by PharmaSUG Japan and displayed on-site
  • Size: A0
  • Presenters are expected to participate in on-site poster discussions

When submitting your proposal, please indicate your preferred format. The program committee may adjust the format based on program needs.

 

Presentation Language

Presentations may be delivered in:

  • English, or
  • Japanese

To support global participation, AI-based real-time translation tools are planned to be available during the conference.

 

Submission and Presentation Guidelines

  • Submission categories and session structure may be adjusted based on the number and type of submissions
  • Parallel sessions may be scheduled
  • Presentation materials (slides or posters) must be submitted in advance of the conference
  • Optional full papers will be published in the official conference proceedings

 

Presenter Obligations

If your submission is accepted, you agree to:

  • Submit presentation materials (slides or poster) by the deadline
  • Submit a Copyright Grant Form signed by all authors
  • Register for the conference by the applicable deadline
  • Be available to present on-site during the conference dates

Failure to meet these requirements may result in removal from the program.

  • PharmaSUG Japan 2026 will be a two-day, in-person conference in Japan
  • The event is designed to foster collaboration across Japan and the global PharmaSUG community
  • Topics may include statistical programming, regulatory science, real-world data, open-source technologies (e.g., R), and emerging innovations in data science

For All Authors

  • Submission Guidelines (PDF, 929KB) – General specifications for papers, posters, and presenters. All authors are expected to comply with these guidelines, so please review the document carefully.
  • Copyright Grant Form (CGF) – The copyright grant form will be available in a digital format for online completion and submission. Please read the Electronic CGF Process. The main author contact (i.e., the submitting author) is responsible for ensuring all authors have entered their information into  PharmaSUG Paper Submission System by September 18, 2026. In addition, the main author is responsible for collecting signatures and uploading the fully signed CGF to the PharmaSUG Paper Submission System.
  • Instructions for Uploading Submission Documents – This document describes the steps required for successfully uploading your copyright grant form, final paper and final presentation into the PharmaSUG Paper Submission System.
  • PharmaSUG Non-Commercial Policy (PDF, 120KB) – PharmaSUG is an educational, non-commercial conference. This short policy describes the ways in which commercial activity may and may not be conducted in the context of a PharmaSUG event. All presenters are expected to comply with this policy.
