Part of PharmaSUG is giving something back to the community in which our conference is being held. For 2024, we are supporting two organizations with different areas of impact. Founded in 2020, Nvolve is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the participation of college women in technology,engineering, life sciences, and health careers. The second organization is the Smith Center for Healing and the Arts, which develops and promotes healing practices that explore physical, emotional, and mental resources leading to life-affirming changes for people affected by cancer.. In recent years, PharmaSUG attendees have donated money to support the Shriners Children’s Hospital of Northern California to treat pediatric patients regardless of ability to pay, the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank in their fight against hunger in the San Francisco area, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in their efforts to cure cancer, the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House in their goal to support families of seriously ill children, and Feeding America to help those struggling with food insecurities in the United States.
